We are very pleased with the masonry work that was recently completed on our home by F. La Rocca & Sons.

 

The men arrived promptly early each morning, and worked steadily throughout the day. At the end of each work day, the entire area was cleaned and all materials stored.

 

The men did far more extensive work than we expected, and the porch, stairs, walk, retaining wall and driveway look like new.

 

Mr. La Rocca responded promptly to our request for an estimate, and the work was completed on budget and within the specified time frame.

Flavio La Rocca & Sons, Inc. reconstructed our slate walkway and patio in May 2015. We couldn’t be more pleased with the workmanship; both the walkway and patio, which were in terrible shape after the rough winter, now look beautiful. Recently we had our driveway repaved and the walk from the driveway to the front door replaced. We chose Flavio to install stone veneer around our house and front steps because of his experience, but also because he was honest, professional and easy to talk to. Once we hired him, we were able to choose our stone from a variety of samples, and we were also able to view it before installation.

 

While quality was important to us, the look of the stone was equally as important. Flavio assured us that as long as we communicated our needs to him, we would like the results. He also encouraged us to share our input with him and the crew during installation. Our house looks beautiful and we have received so many compliments from our family, friends and neighbors.

 

Flavio was onsite every day, and if the crew could not work due to weather, the office manager called me first thing in the morning to let me know. Our project was completed on time.

This is the second time in as many years that I have used Mr. La Rocca’s company to perform work at my home. I am delighted to be able to say I am once again completely satisfied with the way the project went and the quality of the final product. The project was completed on schedule even though the scope of the project grew as I added on additional areas in need of restoration.

 

Mr. La Rocca expertise in the area of restoration benefited the end product as he suggested ways to incorporate repairs that when completed blended in with the original work that was done over 100 years ago. Finishing touches like back filling areas with top soil and seeding were not stated in the contract however they were not treated as “extras”.

 

The cleanup after the job, and the finishing touches are just as important as the “heavy” work. Job well done!

From my original call to Cathy, to Flavio’s site visit for an estimate, to Flavio’s suggestions and recommendations, everything was extremely professional, courteous, and informational. The workmen were experienced tradesmen and under Flavio’s supervision finished the seating wall, made from all natural stone and the installation of the patio beyond our expectations.

I found out what a caring owner is all about, when , at 6:30 AM Flavio was at our house hosing down the seating wall and patio to ensure there would be no cracking of the concrete due to the extreme heat and the curing effect of the concrete.

I simply had to write this letter. I have dealt with many contractors in my life and I have NEVER written a letter to express my complete satisfaction. I’m sure we have all had negative experiences with contractors who we would love to write a negative letter about, but this experience was quite opposite.

 

Your men completed the job in a timely and thorough manner. They cleaned up the work site at the end of the job so my yard was back to what it was prior to your arrival. But that is not all I would like to say, my front steps are just shy of a masterpiece. Everyone in the neighborhood is talking about them. Random people are driving by and giving “thumbs up” signs. It really brings a smile to your face.

 

I guess when you tell someone you are going to do a job, you really do it, and do it right! Your word means a lot. In the middle of the work we ran into a few things that were somewhat unexpected and your solutions in order to “complete” the job were absolutely beautiful.
